Guided Tour with the Head Gardener

Botanical Clay Workshop
Saturday 17th May 10:00 – 12:00

Join us in the Coach House for a two-hour clay workshop run by Nadine from Field and Sparrow, where you’ll explore the joy of working with clay in a relaxed and inspiring setting.
Before we begin, take a stroll through the gardens to gather natural inspiration for your piece. Then, under expert guidance from Nadine you’ll learn simple pottery techniques to create a beautiful botanical-inspired vessel.
Your finished piece will be glazed and fired before being posted to you, arriving approximately four weeks after the event.
Why not complete your morning with a seasonal lunch at the café? Freshly prepared and locally sourced, it’s the perfect way to round off your creative experience.

Hand Tied Bouquets
Wednesday 21st May 10-12pm
Come and enjoy a couple of creative hours learning how to make a beautiful hand tied arrangement with home grown flowers and foliage from Anna’s cutting garden. You will also be given plenty of hints and tips to help you recreate these arrangements at home.
After the workshop, why not relax and treat yourself to a delicious lunch at the award-winning café onsite? It’s the perfect way to round off your creative experience.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, so no experience is necessary. Let your creativity bloom with us!

Mansion Tours
Monday 26th May 2025
The Grade II* listed mansion at Goodnestone Park will be available for guided tours between the hours of 10.00 am – 16.00 pm. Our tours will last approximately 1 hour and you will be shown key rooms within the mansion as well as objects of historical interest and unique architectural features. A Blissful Nature Break

Gelli Plate Printing Workshop

Explore the wonderful process of Gelli Plate printing with Lynn Holbrook. Create your own botanical prints. After collecting botanical specimens from the inspiring gardens you will be guided through the process of producing your own Gelli Plate prints onto paper. The workshop will provide the opportunity to experiment with various techniques of Gelli Plate Printing. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. During the lunch break, treat yourself to a delicious meal at the award-winning Old Dairy Cafe located onsite. It’s the perfect experience to share with family and friends. Suitable for all skill levels.

Sense and Sensibility

Macbeth

National Garden Scheme
Friday 12th September 2025 09.00 – 17.00
Today the gardens are open in aid of the National Garden Scheme which raises funds for nursing and health charities.
In 2024 the charity donated a record £3,501,227. Thousands of people who live with health conditions such as cancer or Parkinson’s, who have poor mental health, or who struggle financially as unpaid carers, have been supported by NGS funding of the nurses, health professionals and case workers who support them.
