Jane Austen Walk

Sunday 26th October 2025
10.00 and 14.00

A Canterbury Festival Event

Join experienced Blue Badge guide Kerstin on a walk around the gardens of Goodnestone, a place very familiar to Jane Austen.  Jane was a frequent visitor as her brother Edward married into the family, the ceremony taking place in the village church.  This was a double wedding and of course Pride and Prejudice concludes with a double ceremony, suggesting the influence Jane’s exposure to Goodnestone society had on her writing.
