Jubilee Afternoon Tea

Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style with a delicious Afternoon Tea. The menu includes the official Jubilee Pudding created by Jemma Melvin, who was inspired by the lemon posset served at the Royal Wedding in 1947.

Join Paul for a two hour stroll around the gardens surrounding the historic mansion. You’ll learn how Paul and his dedicated team are working to enhance the year-round appeal of the gardens. Paul’s enthusiasm for sustainable gardening is infectious, and he’ll share his ideas for encouraging wildlife through the creation of beneficial habitats.
The Old Dairy Cafe will be open, so why not round off the day with a delicious cream tea? (to be booked separately)

Opera Evening
Thursday 21st July 6pm
An evening of songs, arias and ensembles from operas and musicals performed in the beautiful surroundings of Goodnestone Park Gardens. This performance has been arranged by Orlando Jopling who has spent most of his working life in opera and ballet, at the Royal Opera House, London, Garsington Opera, Scottish Opera, the Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet and many others.
Please bring your own rugs and seats for this outdoor performance. There will be a picnic interval.

The Jungle Book

Dot Productions bring their adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic to the gardens at Goodnestone.

A welcome return to Goodnestone for Dot Productions, who, in their 12th year of touring, have chosen a well-loved classic. Full of wit and wisdom George Bernard Shaw’s most popular play will be performed in the open air – please bring something to sit on.

Fork to Fork Food & Drink Festival
Sunday 28th August 2022
A Food & Drink Festival at Goodnestone Park with a fantastic line up of local food and drink producers, fun and interactive work shops held in the walled garden and live music in the evening. The event is being held in conjunction with Other Art Network who will running an exhibition in Goodnestone Gallery and within the gardens. This event is definitely one for the calendar and further information will be available in the New Year.

National Garden Scheme
Sunday 11th September
This Sunday visitors to the garden will be contributing to the National Garden Scheme.
The NGS has donated over £63 million to nursing and health charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
Mary Berry is President of the National Garden Scheme and George Plumptre, brother of Lord FitzWalter, is its Chief Executive.
