Wild About Gardens with Kent Wildlife Trust

Sunday 7th July
11.00 – 16.00

Goodnestone Park and Kent Wildlife Trust – inspiring wildlife gardening on a grand scale.  The Wild About Gardens Team is thrilled to be partnering with us on an open garden event to encourage nature-friendly gardening.

This will be a fantastic family day out with something for everyone to enjoy.  Be inspired by guided walks that offer opportunities to discover the gardens and ways to support wildlife in your own spaces.  The walks will take place at 11.30am and 2.00pm – you don’t need to book but places will be limited.

Representatives from the Wild About Gardens team will be on hand to answer any questions and to offer tips for sustainable gardening without the three ‘P’s – plastic, peat, pesticides; how to create your own mini pond, learn about bumblebees and other pollinators, and with representatives from Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Kent’s Bat Group and the Kent Mammal Group joining them, you will get to see a hedgehog and a bat up close.  The Wild About Gardens team has prepared plenty of fun nature-friendly activities for the little ones.

The Gardens are open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, the event starts at 11am.  The entry fee is £9 each for adults, carers’ tickets are £3.50 each and children go free.   50% of the entry fees raised will support Kent Wildlife Trust’s Wild About Gardens work.
