Coming Soon: Bletting the Mother Beast
Opening 7 June, Bletting the Mother Beast: rot, release & remembering is a new solo exhibition by Margate-based artist Mercedes Lucy. Through tactile ceramic forms—both tender and grotesque—the show explores themes of grief, motherhood, and care. Inspired by “bletting,” the natural softening of fruit through decay, this intimate body of work reframes rot as a powerful act of transformation.
Please note: The exhibition is located within the garden grounds at Goodnestone Park. A standard garden entrance ticket is required for entry.
