Love Is In The Air at Goodnestone Park

Join us on Sunday, April 7th, for an exclusive glimpse into the romantic heart of Kent’s countryside at Goodnestone Park’s Wedding Open Day.
Nestled amongst blooming gardens and woodlands and just over one hour from London.
Upon arrival enjoy a glass of locally produced English Sparkling wine with canapes, or tea and coffee if you prefer.
We will take you for a tour of the house, you will have a chance to ask questions from our bookings team and to meet with our handpicked selection of top-tier wedding professionals—from florists and photographers to caterers and musicians—who are all on hand to help tailor every detail to your taste. Our dedicated event team will be available to discuss your ideas and share their expertise, ensuring that your wedding reflects your unique style and personality.
You are welcome to bring your family or wedding supporters with you on your ticket. You will also have free access to our gardens on the day for you and your party. Use the link in the bio to book your ticket (only 1 ticket needed per wedding party).

Enjoy a Tour

Upon arrival book your tour of the mansion, orangery and terraces. The team is on hand to answer questions and show you around the stunning , interior designed rooms. It’s your chance to see if we are a good fit, soak up the atmosphere and imagine yourselves getting married at Goodnestone. You will also get to chat with some of our wonderful preferred suppliers, including photographers, make up artists, videographers, cake makers and caterers. You will also have a chance to wander around again in your own time, listen to some fabulous musicians and even take a stroll through the beautiful expansive gardens.

You may also want to explore our Old Dairy Cafe, the village church and even pop into the Fitzwalter Arms local pub for a quick drink.

Our booking team will be on hand and can take you through any offers available on the day subject to availability. We just want you to really relax and enjoy your time with us.

Glorious Summer Weddings

At Goodnestone we have hosted some wonderful summer wedding weekends – choose from a civil service on the grand terraces or a traditional church service in the picturesque Goodnestone Village Church. Each wedding is designed around your unique requirements and can be a classic English wedding or a whimsical vintage affair. Our team can talk you through all the options for creating your fabulous day.

Our gardens are in full bloom during the summer months and make a glorious backdrop to your wedding photos.

The Orangery (pictured) is the first of its kind at Goodnestone Park and is a magnificent events venue which pays homage to the estate’s rich history. Custom-made by marquee specialists, LPM Bohemia, the large, timber-framed marquee was built in 2023 and is sited adjacent to the Queen Anne-style mansion.

Our  Orangery can seat up to 120 guests with plenty of room for tables and chairs while leaving space for the dance floor. We have a dedicated area for your chosen band (from our preferred suppliers), ash plank flooring and the interior linings feature a gorgeous botanical theme throughout.

Intimate Winter Weddings

During the colder months we love to host smaller, intimate weddings, whether exchanging vows in a civil ceremony or a traditional village church wedding. The roundhouse in the Mansion makes a perfect spot for a smaller affair and the grand dining room is a wonderful setting for your sit down wedding meal. The mansion provides plenty of cosy spots with roaring fires for you and your guests.

Winter provides an array of creative possibilities for your wedding décor and themes and our  florists and caterers will make the most of seasonal foliage and local food.

But perhaps the true magic of an intimate winter wedding lies in the sense of togetherness it inspires. Surrounded by the warmth of loved ones, there’s a palpable sense of intimacy and connection that permeates the air.

Our preferred caterers are local to the Canterbury area which makes them a great choice for fresh local produce. We think they are all amazing, we know they will provide you with a 5* service and work with you to create a wonderful, bespoke menu that your guests will always remember.

We have a first class sound system and we would recommend using our chosen entertainment agent Toby Boyle Music who can assist with booking a band based on your requirements.
